Who am I?

The most important question that a human must ask is also the most important question you must ask of your brand. What you answer will indicate the level of success that you achieve in marketing.

Often, when people begin marketing a business on their own, they use their personal voice. This works on occasion if their personal voice happens to coincide with the voice of the business. If Marcy's antique company has the voice of a 50-something woman, it would likely appeal to it's audience... but if that same company had the voice of Marcy's 15 year old grandson... that would, like, suck!

This error is all too common. Fans of Marcy's antique company would quickly lose respect for the new marketing tools that their favorite little shop is using and eventually lose respect for the shop itself.

What I'm trying to tell you is that if YOU are the reason that the business is a success... BE YOU. If you are NOT the reason that the business is a succes, then adapt your voice to speak on behalf of the business and BE THAT. What would Marcy's Antique Company say if we were sitting down for coffee? Don't be afraid to say the wrong thing or the right thing. Just find the voice and the words will come naturally!

In fact, this is the reason that I'm writing this post to you right now. My writing voice has adapted successfully for many different companies; I've shared with people around the world with advice on how to improve their voice and communication and I've finally decided to stop emailing people, and give the world a blog with MY own voice.

Who am I?
When I write, people listen. My voice echos in the minds of those who hear me. Before you write a single word, I want you to have this level of certainty. Just as you are reading this post, your fans/customers/guests won't read a word of what you have written unless they are single-mindedly interested in what you have to say.

You will succeed. You are already on the right path.
